Impactful changes require more than clever diversity jargon and recycled thoughts. It takes culture, content, and consciousness to transform traditional workplace engagement. We provide tangible tools to advance equity in your workplace and personal lives. The course will help professionals and leaders to deepen their toolkit to talk about race constructively, address their own unconscious bias, and identify opportunities for reflection.


Participants will explore some fundamental terms of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, build a common language, and identify areas of growth in your organization.

 

 

Participants will be able to:

  1. Engage in a process of identifying what they consider to be the most important dimensions of their own identity.
  2. Unpacking how positionality of identity(s) sits in the wheel of diversity, power, oppression, and belonging.
  3. Explore the relationship between identities and power in the workplace and practice
  4. Explore the innate human desire to belong and how this impacts our decision making
  5. Identifying how the workplace or practices can be a cultural hub of micro-inequities
  6. Explore how unconscious bias impacts our relationship with our workplace colleagues.
  7. Explore how unconscious bias impacts the way clinicians serve clients.
  8. Utilization of IFS and somatic methods to address intrapersonal barriers to inclusive and belonging
  9. Define and explore pathways to inclusion, belonging and community 
  10. Recognize and disrupt pathways of self-denial of bias in order to understand and achieve more inclusive environments.
  11. Identify strategies to audit protocols and engagement to assess and implement DEI tactics.
